Al-Maadheed in Qatar

The Al-Ma'adeed tribe in Qatar carries significant historical and cultural weight. This book explores their migration from Ushayqir in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula to the Qatari Peninsula by gathering scattered historical fragments, examining core narratives from their original sources, analyzing texts, and connecting events.

The material for this book was collected from a number of primary and secondary sources, including local, English, and Ottoman documents, as well as books on history and geography, particularly the works of historians from the region. This was also supplemented by field visits to each of the migration stops, where the remaining traces were observed and oral narratives documented.
